Used Car Dealers

If you missed the Cash for Clunkers program you should know that used car selection has decreased and prices have actually increased in recent months.  This is due to the fact that many consumers are choosing to purchase used cars instead of leasing a new car.  Stacey Blackwell, owner of Bill Dodge Auto Group who has a Portland Used Car dealership has attempted to buck that trend.

According to Blackwell, “We have been working hard to locate used cars that are reasonably priced to offer to used car shoppers in Portland Maine.  Since we have a number of new car franchises in the Portland area, we are getting high quality trade ins everyday.  We can them pass on these used car savings to our customers in Maine.”

You can see their selection of Used Cars For Sale in Maine by visiting their website at:  www.maineusedcars.net.

The Real Clunkers Get Disqualified

One of the most common complaints from consumers is that the Federal website rates their “clunker” at 19, 20 or 21  combined mpg.  Consumers are adamant that their vehicle’s condition prevents it from getting anywhere near that mpg number.

Consumers claim that they own real “clunkers” that are inefficient and they want to upgrade to a new fuel efficient car.  But since the government has set the bar at 18 mpg, they are locked out regardless if their car is getting 16 mpg in real life.
